CORONA VIRUS UPDATE
AirSpace Gallery will remain closed to the public until official advice changes, and the lockdown measures introduced to combat the spread of COVID-19 have eased. Until then, we are continuing to work and deliver public facing, engaged and participatory projects, using our online resources. Please find details of current activity below.
AirSpace is taking this opportunity to do some development work in the background. We are working on a brand-new website, due to launch in mid-June, and while this work takes place, the present website will be operating at reduced capacity. For any info on our upcoming programme or questions for the organisation, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
CURRENT AIRSPACE PROJECTS
AirSpace is determined to find ways to carry on working despite the restrictions placed on arts organisations due to Covid-19. While we are physically closed to the public, we are presenting two brand new projects.
ARTISTS MAKE CHANGE
We are working with a-n The Artist Information Company to deliver Artists Make Change - a 12 month participatory R&D project designed to explore the role of the artist in society, and in particular to assess, and advocate for, how artists and art organisers can effectively work for change. The programme is full of public-facing resources, presentations, discussion groups, artist interviews and advice sessions. More information HERE
Our new programme of artist's residencies kicks off with Collective Territories
by Danny Treacy
, a 2-part, collaborative residency exploring the urban spaces of Stoke-on-Trent with people from Stoke-on-Trent. This 6 week residency has been reworked to function within the current lockdown restrictions, with the first research part happening remotely with online output, and then reconvening here at the Gallery later in the year, when new regulations allow.
